RSSC August Offroad Photo

Total Retail Value: $32

Hope you had an awesome summer! I can’t believe that it is already the end of August! Where does the time go? Been watching a lot of folks on the trails this summer all across the country and am loving the stories that are coming out of all corners of the US, and Europe. Yes, I’ve been watching what they have going on over the pond and it sure is intriguing. One day I’ll get to go play there myself.

Not a lot of ‘new’ in the Bower Media office, just a lot of the same ‘ol day-to-day work. Well, I guess that is a little bit of a lie as we have been working at creating and re-creating Bower Power Hour to where it is today. If you haven’t watched an episode lately, give it a try (again)…it has changed a lot. We will all agree, for the better. 🙂

Here come the fall colors!   ~ Charlene

Tristar truck 5TriStar Motorsports:

I’ve turned to our desert world for the last couple shirts because we needed to mix it up a little bit! Let me introduce you to a Trophy Truck team TriStar Motorsports. Founded in 2012, this team was a mix of three teams of champions, hence the name TriStar. Chris Brown, Chris Kemp and Steve Hengeveld have hundreds of wins and championships between them, all on two wheels. I had to laugh when I looked up information on their team and in the “Mission” column they simply put WINNING. Since the inception in 2012, Tristar truck 1the team has peeled down to Chris Kemp as the owner and driver.

Chris Kemp is a lifelong and avid motorcycle rider and racer. His dad was a founding member of the Dirt Diggers Motorcycle Club, and has had his leg flung over a bike almost everyday. In 2007, he raced a Wide Open BC Car in the Baja 1000 and caught the bug. So much so that he bought a Jimco Class 1 2-seat car off eBay! It ended up being a good deal, taking him all the way to a 2010 BITD 1500 Class Champion! He has recently moved into a trophy truck with a Geiser Truck. He has been consistent and near the overall, Tristar truck 4but hasn’t made one stick, yet.

The truck number is 3 or 93 depending on what series he is running. If they are running Trick Truck in the Best in the Desert, then you will see the (then gold) now white with red stripe truck, with a 3. If you are in Baja and watching or chasing a SCORE race, you will seetristar truck 3 the truck with a big 93 on the side.

Co-drivers and support crews include some of our friends Shanon Powell and JT Taylor.

Couple of New Summer Items:

You may think I am completely behind the times when you read this. You may already know about how awesome both of these items are, but I didn’t. Rubberized gloves are awesome! Although you can’t use in the garage for welding, you can use to keep your grip on metal that you are cutting or in my case, pulling weeds! Who knew! J

The other cool item that I found are these silly bracelets. Yes, they are a fashionable florescent color, but they work great. Wear one, or sit a few out on a table to help take the bugs away from the area. I have found my favorite use is when we go bike riding. The sweat tends to get rid of any spray that you put on, but the bracelet is non-obtrusive and useful for when you stop.
